Coinbase Premium Turns Negative, CME Gaps Signal Choppy Ride

Bitcoin is trapped in a volatility sandwich. For the first time in over two weeks, the Coinbase premium flipped negative, signaling reduced US spot demand. At the same time, CME futures gaps between $92K–$92.5K and $96.4K–$97.4K suggest price is magnetized by both sides — creating likely swings this week.

Futures open interest dropped by 8,000 BTC, while spot CVD data shows persistent selling. Analysts like @Exitpump note Bitfinex whales have led recent sell pressure. Still, buying interest is returning in derivatives, with bid-ask deltas ticking positive.

“It’s clean: I’m only trading $91.9K or $95.5K,” said trader UB. “Anything in between is noise.”

Berkshire Hathaway Could Buy 18% of All Bitcoin — But Will It?

With Warren Buffett set to retire, incoming CEO Greg Abel inherits a $347B cash pile — enough to buy 3.5 million BTC at current prices. That’s nearly 18% of circulating supply. While Abel hasn’t hinted at a crypto pivot, Berkshire already holds indirect exposure via Nu Holdings and Jefferies (a BlackRock IBIT investor).

Strategy’s BTC stash? 553,555 BTC

Berkshire's potential? 6x that, using just 85% of its Treasuries.

Still, don’t expect a BTC shopping spree. Abel follows Buffett’s value-first playbook, and Berkshire’s crypto exposure remains carefully indirect.
